Residents Rights

All residents who come to live at Threeways are valued and treated as individuals.

  • Privacy is most important when living in a communal setting so we strive to help our residents to maintain as much dignity and privacy as possible.

  • When residents need to use the telephone, open and read post, communicate with friends, relatives and advisers we will make sure that these times are kept as private as possible.

  • The resident shall have a choice of the type of their accommodation, dependent on availability

  • The resident/resident’s family shall be fully involved, where possible, in an initial assessment procedure.

  • The resident/resident’s family shall be involved in case reviews and kept up to date with care programmes in order that, where possible, realistic decisions can be made regarding their care.

  • The resident shall have the right to a personal “Key worker”. Families shall be notified of the identity of this person.

  • The resident shall have a right to participate fully in social and recreational activities.

  • The resident shall have the right to enjoy life to the full in a relaxed, warm, caring environment where physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs are met.

  • The resident shall have the right to complain and have access to complaints procedure.

  • The resident has the right to say “No”

  • The resident has the right to have visitors whenever they want
