Meet the Team
Caroline Mills – Proprietor
Caroline’s family have owned Threeways and The Devonshire for over 50 years, and she is now the Proprietor of both homes, where she has worked for over 30 years. She has overall responsibility for the legal, financial, and regulatory compliance of the service.
Caroline oversees operational governance and resident safety, working closely with managers to ensure they are fully supported and equipped to deliver high-quality care and run the business effectively.
Sharon Davis - Registered Manager
Sharon has been part of our team for 28 years, spending the majority of that time as our Nurse in Charge on night shifts. In 2022, she moved into a daytime role, progressing to Deputy Manager and, more recently, to Registered Manager.
Sharon likes to be hands on when supporting residents. She exceptionally caring and deeply passionate about the wellbeing of both residents and staff. Her guiding ethos is: “If you have happy staff, you have a happy home!”
Lesley Turner - Deputy Manager
Lesley supports the Registered Manager by leading the care team and ensuring regulatory compliance while maintaining high-quality, person-centred care.
Lesley’s key responsibilities include managing staff performance, overseeing care plans, conducting audits, completing risk assessments, and deputising in the manager’s absence.
Anne Iral – Clinical Lead
Anne conducts clinical supervisions and supports senior management with audits, administration, and medication ordering. She oversees infection control practices and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high clinical standards and safe, effective care throughout the home.
Debbie Acton – HR and Office Manager
Debbie is responsible for ensuring employees are safe, informed, and supported across all aspects of their roles. She maintains accountability for daily operations, asset security, clear communication, and business continuity, ensuring the organisation runs efficiently and consistently meets its professional standards.
Laura Evans – Activities & Wellbeing Lead
Laura creates and leads a varied, person-centred activities programme that supports residents’ physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. She focuses on making each day meaningful and enjoyable, helping to reduce feelings of boredom or isolation; encouraging residents to stay engaged, connected, and fulfilled.
Simone Halliwell - Wellbeing & Engagement Lead
Simone leads on wellbeing and engagement for residents, relatives and staff teams. She brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for growing meaningful connections within and across both homes.
Simone is responsible for enhancing the lived experience of residents, strengthening community links, and supporting a positive, inclusive culture for all.
Mike Allistone – Home Services Manager
Mike oversees the day-to-day management of essential support services at both Threeways and The Devonshire, including housekeeping, laundry, catering and facilities.
He is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and staff, ensuring high standards are consistently delivered across both homes.
Debbie Tait - Chef Manager
Debbie has worked for us since 1988. She started as a cleaner and worked her way up to kitchen assistant, chef and now Head Chef of both homes!
She currently leads the catering teams and oversees all aspects of kitchen operations. She manages staff, plans and prepares nutritious, seasonal menus, ensures excellent hygiene standards, and oversees ordering and kitchen compliance. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Debbie remains hands-on in the kitchen, delivering high-quality meals that support residents’ wellbeing and enjoyment every day.

All staff are offered a further range of training which is relevant to their induction, professional development and nursing skills. Fifty per cent of Health Care Assistants are trained in either NVQ Level 2 or 3 in care.

Our staff wear the following uniforms:
Clinical Manager & Sisters: Navy blue dress or tunic and trousers (Deputy Manager also)
Charge Nurse: White tunic with navy epaulettes and navy trousers
Health Care Assistants: Light Blue Dress or Light Blue Tunic Top and Blue Trousers
Male Health Care Assistants: White tunics and black/navy trousers
Domestics: Lavender dress or tunic and trousers
Chef/Cooks: White Tunic and checked trousers
Activities Organiser: Burgandy Dress or Burgandy Trousers and White Top
